These recipes find their roots inspired by a collection of my favorite people, places, nostalgic memories, and especially from my grandparents kitchen. Ever since I was a little girl, I have had an immense love and curiosity for baking all things homemade from scratch. This love was passed down to me from my grandparents, who have always called me Matilda. 

 

Growing up in the 00's where pre-packaged cakes and desserts were becoming the new norm, I fell in love with my grandparents dedication to creating everything from the heart. My grandmother, Nina, was the type of baker who would measure with her eyes. Making each of her bakes uniquely hers. The connection I made with my grandparents through their constantly flour-dusted kitchen (and literally buffet style foodie filled countertops) continues to inspire and guide me as I continue baking like that little girl nicknamed Matilda.
